Graduate Research Assistant
Computer Vision, Pattern and Image Analysis Lab

August 2009 till Now

  • Spearheaded the utilization of Model Based Techniques (Active Appearance Model, Constrained Local Model etc.) in CVPIA lab. Studied, implemented and evaluated those algorithms.
  • Involved into active research for building a real-time facial expression detection system
  • Implemented an iterative and intelligent framework for easier annotation of landmark points in pictures of faces
  • Worked with Prof. Dr. Xiangen Hu during summer 2010 to implement his concepts on measures of semantic similarity among words regardless of the encoding methods.
  • Implemented an intelligent program to rate product reviews as good or bad based on different machine learning techniques including Bayesian classifier, Support Vector Machine etc.
  • Gave numerous presentations to lab members regarding different concepts of computer vision and machine learning
